Our rib cage protects our heart and lunges.
It consists of 12 ribs, the sternum and related ligaments and muscles.
Our Diaphragm muscle attaches onto the lowest rib and the sternum.
It is the main muscle of respiration and is also the major “pump” for our Lymphatic System.
Our lymphatic system is important for the well being of our immune responses.
In this Yoga class we will practice releasing and strengthening the movement in our ribs and the Diaphragm.
In our exhale muscles, side bends, lateral planks and twisting poses, we will open our pathways to optimal health.
