Graceful aging

This farm house is an organic shop, offering vegetables raised on the land and brought straight to our table.

In Yoga practice, we want to honor the way our bodies change over time. It is not a problem to be fixed -it’s a natural, continuous process that reflects a life lived, experiences gathered, and wisdom earned.

While we can’t fight the inevitable aging of our bodies,

we can shift our perspectives on what it means to grow older.

In Yoga, we learn to meet our bodies exactly where they are. Some days we feel strong and open; other days we feel stiffer or slower.

Over the years, our range of motion shifts, our balance changes, and our muscles and joints speak to us in new ways.

Yoga gives us tools to adapt, to listen more deeply, and to practice with compassion. Instead of forcing shapes, we learn to celebrate sustainable movement, mindful breathing and presence.

Today, let our practice be a conversation with our current body- this body that has carried us through so much. We will respect its limitations and appreciate all it continues to do for us.

Aging does not pull us away from Yoga, instead it encourages a gently collaboration with our body, and never a negotiation or a battle.

Much love,

Marielle

"Aging is a state of mind. Instead of mourning the loss of youth, we can celebrate every phase in our lives. “There is a fountain of youth; it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap into this source, you will truly have defeated age.”
