Yoga cleans

Cleansing our bodies from toxins happens naturally -and the fastest- through drinking plenty of water. The next step in this detoxification process is: movement.

In Yoga, tonight, we will focus on three supporting poses to help detox and remedy excessive heat:

1. Wide legged forward bend ( Prasarita Padottanasana )

This pose stretches the calves, hips, hamstrings and back.

It relieves stress, anxiety and depression and neck and shoulder tension.

When we bring our head beneath our heart, we will reduce ‘hot-headedness’.

2. Water hand gesture ( Jai Mudra )

A meditation pose that brings the thumb together with the little finger.

This pose brings out the water element and has therefor a calming, cooling and soothing effect.

3. Revolved Triangle Pose ( Parivrtta Trikonasana )

This Asana is helpful for relieving body pain and lethargy.

It improves blood circulation and helps nutrients get transported to all parts of the body.

More toxins can be collected from the body to be flushed out.

It is beneficial for cholesterol control.

We will need a Yoga BLOCK and a STRAP or a BELT for this class.
