Self care Yoga

We have been hanging out at, Robert Bosch Krankenhaus, the hospital that takes care of my partner’s dad, in Stuttgart.

It reminded me off how important self care is in our daily life. Self care translates into the intentional practice of nurturing our physical, mental and emotional well-being. It involves slowing down, listening to our needs and choosing habits that restore balance and support resilience and clarity.

In Yoga class this means honoring our physical limits, moving with intention rather than pushing ourselves, through gentle postures, conscious breathing, and moments of rest.

The self care effects in Yoga practice are alignment, healing and balance. Both in body and mind. We quiet the fluctuations of our thoughts in able to return to a more natural state of being.

In class we will nurture ourselves on three levels: mind, body and nervous system.

We will set an intention for ourselves and do a body scan.

Our physical practice will be slow and nourishing, and we will add more forward bends and child poses.

In our breathing we will create longer exhales to reset our nervous system.

Much love,

Marielle
