The Small Intestine processes emotions as well as food.
In Chinese Medicine it is called the “Abdominal Brain.”
Imbalances in the Intestine can correspond with undigested emotions.
All negative emotions express themselves by contraction:
-Anger contracts the right side of the intestine.
-Worry affects the left side.
-Impatience and anxiety contract the top.
-Fear contracts the bottom of the Small Intestine.
In Yoga today we will address The Small Intestine in our body with gentle twists, grounding Warriors and soothing breathing exercises.
We will also strengthen the core muscles to create support around the area. To ensure expansion.
