Support for this Century

The three Fundamentals in Yoga help us to be present, release tension and focus the mind.

1. Grounding,

which creates steadiness, alertness, peace and reliability.

This is our nature state, yet it is often challenging for us.

We multi-task, use stimulants and work too hard.

The result is that we disconnect from the earth beneath us. An ungrounded body tends to have stiff and sore neck and shoulders. An ungrounded mind is prone to insomnia, anxiety and depression.

2. Relax the Palate,

Releasing tension in the skull, remedies the jaw, neck and the shoulders.

Ten ounce of tension in the skull will feel like 10 pounds of tension in the shoulders.

Because the roof of the mouth is close to the Brain-stem, small shifts create big changes

in the entire system.

3. Full Commitment Exhale,

To bring fresh, oxygenated air into he lungs, requires the stale air to leave the body.

“The sigh of relief” nurtures the Nervous System.

The fullness of the exhale predicts the vitality of the inhale.

All through our Yoga Practice we will deepen our awareness of the three fundamentals.

Much love,

“To see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.”
