Love of the Sun

Summer supports greater clarity, creativity and well-being in our lives.
It is an excellent period to enjoy the harmony and peace of the natural world.
Nature is wise. On the hot days, the trees do not struggle to grow, instead they sink their roots down deeper. The birds rest in the shade of the tree leaves, and the flowers simply fold their petals until the evening brings cool air in.
It is a reminder that WE ARE nature, we are not meant to race through this season. Summer has her own pace.
Growth does not always come from effort, it can come from surrender. In stillness our nervous system settles, our hearts become lighter, and our minds remember what truly matters to us.
Perhaps our Yoga mat can be a sanctuary, a nourishing space where we leave behind the pressure to achieve, and instead practice receiving. Receiving the warmth and energy of the lovely Sun.
We can carry that gentle presence into our daily life, small moments of care have a surprising way of restoring us. Harvesting vegetable from our garden, lingering beneath a tree, drinking a cup of coffee on our porch, or walking barefoot in the grass.
Much love,
Marielle
