For many people the IT Band ( Ililo Tibial Band ) is the source of a nagging pain and we all can benefit from strengthening and supporting the sides of our hips.
The IT Band runs along the outside of the thigh, from right above the hip to just below the knee.
It is the largest piece of Fascia ( connective tissue ) in the body.
For decades the belief was that the IT Bands primary function was to stabilize the hips.
Now we know that the IT Band acts like a spring, it has the capacity to store elastic energy for walking or running.
Let’s play in class with the sides of the hips, both for strengthening and releasing.
For this class you will need a strap.
