Our breath provides a gateway from the unconscious to the conscious.
It helps us to repair the split between the body and the mind and offers a powerful tool to calm the nervous system. It shows us very honestly and clearly where we are stressed or disconnected. Today, in our Yoga class we will work with just one technique: Authentic breathing. It is a simple, yet profound way to restore health and vitality in our bodies and minds. To breathe authentically we will rest our attention on our full, complete exhale. The focus will be on releasing the tension we hold in our ribs and our diaphragm. Without manipulating or forcing our breath out, we will wait till the ribs and the diaphragm naturally let go. We will notice that the quality of the inhale naturally improves. As we are going through all our Asana’s ( poses ) we will keep practicing the authentic breath cycle. Much love, Marielle
