“To carry the weight of the world on our shoulders” means taking too much responsibility or having too many burdens and feeling the pressure of it.
We can all identify with it. Our emotional stress often settles in the neck and shoulders.
In Fall, the colder weather can also get us to contract, bringing our shoulders towards our ears.
Most of us have room to improve in our posture and can use more strength around the shoulder girdle to keep our scapula ( shoulder blades ) resting snug against the back ribs.
This Yoga class will circle around the “higher” joints; the wrists, elbows and shoulders.
We will explore the dance between stability and mobility throughout our practice.
In our pre-yoga we will warm up the shoulder muscles and build more strength.
We will keep the shoulders as our "featured- star" joint in all our poses central.
Please bring a STRAP to class.
Much love,
Marielle
