Cold weather remedy

Wisconsin has been offered incredibly, cold weather, this results in the fact that our bodies may feel stiff and stagnant. 


Cold muscles are tighter muscles, it is important to not push in depth.


We will spend extra time on gentle rotations of the joints and we will move slowly, at first, to avoid strains. 


A medicinal way to bring more warmth is, bringing in the principle: "action meeting resistance". In our Yoga poses we will cultivate “smart effort”, engaging our muscles and intention without forcing past the body’s natural boundaries. We will use the natural resistance of the floor, our engaged muscles, tight tissue, props or gravity,


The practice happens at the meeting point, not by overpowering the point of resistance.

We will work with what is present, without straining or collapsing into the poses.
