Practicing Yoga blindfolded in Yoga Philosophy is called “ Pratyahara” or the conscious withdrawal of energy from the senses.
It is a journey to find the Self.
Taking our vision out of the Yoga Practice is a powerful tool.
What is the function?
-Your senses will refine.
-You will recognize your breath and feel and hear the sensations of your body.
-It will help you strengthen your inner presence and be less reactionary.
-It will teach you how to find your inner compass and to navigate from a deep place within you.
We will practice blind folded for the first half hour of the class, it will be gentle and slow.
In the second half of class we will practice balancing poses and you will have the choice to take the challenge with eyes closed.
Please bring a Bandana or a scarf to this class.
