Bicycle Muscles

In the Netherlands, the bicycle is the most popular means of transportation.

The glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps and calves are the main providers of movement during cycling.

But we also rely on our lungs ability to transfer oxygen to the muscles and our mental ability to persevere.

As we adapt to all the different weather patterns in Winter, there is a lot of benefit in strengthening and lengthening these specific muscles.

They provide: grounding, balance, activation of the Lymphatic System and functional strength.

In Yoga today, we will practice different squat variations and we will enjoy hip openers like Gate pose, Frog pose, Happy baby pose and Pigeon.

Please bring a block and a strap.
