Hip muscles play a key role in our standing posture.
They work in an integrated system with the muscles of the neck, shoulders, core and spine.
Movement in the hips turns multiple muscles on at once.
These are the main muscles we will work with in our Yoga class:
-Adductor muscles: bring the legs towards the center of your body, stabilizing the hip.
-Piriformis: moves the leg away from the body during hip flexion.
-Psoas: helps with external and internal rotation, a common example: walking.
Please bring a block and a strap to class today.
Much love,
Marielle
